Owning Our Stories

by | Slices of Life

In my last post, I spoke of owning our stories. Today, let’s go deeper—what does it mean to write your own?

So, what if?

The longer the struggle, the more explosive the release.
The tougher the climb, the more breathtaking the view.
The sadder the past, the more exhilarating the future.

It’s never too late!

At 58, I am breaking free from every prison I built. I am running—fast.

I discovered:

To be seen is to see myself and love what I find.
To be heard is to hear my voice and stand by my words.
To be touched is to embrace myself and never let go.

Who am I? One-of-a-kind. Powerful. Unstoppable. I have endured, persisted, overcome—against the odds, against the current, out of sync, yet standing.

And now? I made it. The other side is lighter, funnier, healthier—simply a-w-e-s-o-m-e.

Will challenges come? Of course. But this time, I write the script.

If you’re struggling, here’s a nudge:

  • Pause. Breathe. Give yourself space.
  • Identify. Find the root of your pain.
  • Understand. See how it repeats.
  • Seek clarity. Connect the dots. Reach out.

Someone, somewhere, needs your story. Only you can tell it. Your voice, your truth—it holds the power to set others free.

My purpose? To inspire, to connect, to empower.

Maybe these words are a golden key in your hand. Will you use it? Will you unlock your potential?

You are destined for greatness. So pick up the pen. Write boldly. Live fully.

This journey isn’t about arrival—it’s about transformation. And it begins now.
